I found this on top of the trans tunnel, Where is it supposed to go? This is on my 1977L l48.

I also found Yet another ground that is not connected. I took my car in for paint and some body work and when I got it back the paint and body are fine , now I just have to start over on the intrerior problems, which I did not have before.

This picture is from the drivers side body mount frame bracket.

BB,
Looks like you need an assembly manual or someone with the same year car.....you got me on those two......

Do you have cruise control on your car? If so, the ground on the driver's side frame is for the cruise control unit.

Concerning the ground that you found on the top of the transmission tunnel. What is the condition of your starter motor extension harness? That harness plugs into the main engine harness on the passenger's side and runs down to the starter.

There is a ground wire in that harness that is goes to ground via one of the bolts that holds the transmission to the engine. It may be that Bubba cut/spliced the wire rather than removing bolt to remove the connector.

Just a guess.
