Where Does Your "Baby" Sleep?

Now if I only had automatic openers :L
THAT'S too cool! You could not only put a lift in there, you could use it as an airplane hangar! And, ha, I see the auto opener! :L

Yeah, it has automatic openers. What is lacks is the REMOTE CONTROLS! ;LOL
The openers are about 25 years old. It will take a fair amount of money and perseverence to find remotes that will work for them :cry

Have you tried looking for the original maker on the web? They might have replacement remotes.

Hi Randy! Good to hear from you.
The original manufacturer was Heathkit. I ran into dead ends pursuing that (on the web), but did find some remotes by Linear that supposedly would work. It was going to cost close to $200 to upgrade the remotes for 2 openers, and I balked at spending that much on units that were so old in the first place.

TooTall- thanks for the link! (I edited it and took out the extra http). That looks promising. $44 for a set, not bad!
With some work and money, it could be a nice garage. It's a little rough now, but someday...

Tom, that is a nice set up!!. I have an attached two car garage that the '04 stays in. The '65 stays in a 22ft X 40ft garage in the back yard.

I don't have a pic, but she's tucked in nice and neat right beside (within 1 inch) of my 1997 Camaro with a 454.

Interestingly, I've noticed tire marks on each of them every once in a while... I think they're fighting for my attention. :)

The Z06 is my daily car, and the Camaro is my weekend bruiser, but sometimes the 'vette goes to a cruise if I'm too tired to get the Camaro out. They both are treated with the best care possible, with the 'vette being waxed more (every two weeks) because it's outside more often.
