Hello All;
I am looking for the current owner of our 81 White/Camel 4 speed.

Serial #1G1AY8766BS418441
My wife and I bought it new from Bill Jacobs Chevrolet in Joliet, Illinois.
This car was Bloomington Gold Certified in June of 1992.
Does anyone on this forum know who has it now?
We sold it to a family member in 2001, and lost track of it after he traded it.
Thanks in advance for any and all information .
Boy do we miss that car-We waited for 9 weeks to get it after we ordered it,
there was a hold on 4 speed cars. It was worth the wait!

:w Jake,

I looked through our L81VetteRegistry and S/N 418441 is not registered with the Registry.

This would have made a great story had the present owner been registered with the Registry..

Welcome and in case you would be interested, check out The L81 VetteRegistry ;)

Good Luck finding your old 1981 ;)

L81 4 Speed

Rare 81;
Thanks for your reply - I have registered on the L81 Registry, I am hoping that someone out there will answer us about the car. This is a great service to us 'Vette owners - Once it gets in your blood you gotta have one! We were Vetteless for five years of our 43 years of marriage, now we have a C4 - 96 Torch red LT4 coupe - Before that a Rally Red 67 Air Conditioned 350 horse Roadster, NCRS Top Flight. We owned that for almost 30 years - Drove it all over the United States - mostly on NCRS road tours - to local, regional, and national events. All the Corvettes were GREAT! cars . If I had to choose one favorite it would be our current 96 LT4 Coupe.---But, I havent driven the C6 -- Yet --!

Welcome to CAC!!!:CAC

good luck finding your '81!!!!!!!!1

Welcome, glad you could join us, hope you find out who the current owner is; they have to be out there somewhere. Have you driven a C-5?

Looking for our 81 4 speed

Thank you all for your greetings and well wishes . This forum is the best! I am hoping someone will recognize the car or the serial #. I have soooo much documentation for this car, -all the paper work , and computer sheets from the day we ordered it until the day it was delivered, including the shipper copies.
