I have an 84,Ive been having problems with my aux.fan not working properly. So I bought a manual switch, well when i went to install it I noticed the hot wire from the battery to the fan relay switch was almost cut in two.So i spliced it back together and didnt install manual switch.Aux.fan works great now but here's my problem now.Now my car doesnt wanna turn over,it just clicks but i can jiggle the shifter and the car will start after a while, sometimes I'm there for a while jiggling the shifter around till it starts,Now does anyone know where I should start looking into this,is it my neutral safety switch,I thought if its the neutral safety switch you wont even get a click out of the ignition .I'm lost here I really hope someone can point me in the right direction.

Just clicks

Sounds like your starter solenoid is going out. Wiggling the shifter is likely just a red herring.

I don't know if I can adequaely explain this in written format, but my 84 is tempermental that way. There is a fuel relay switch that somehow feeds into the ignition system. This relay is located somewhere close to the brake booster. About once every six months or so I get the exact same problem as you are describing. I get out, giggle these wires (or also the battery cables too) and low and behold after a few giggles it will start. It will cause me problems periodically for 'bout a week. Then quit for a few months. I don't get it. This probably isn't your problem but I list it here just in case!!

Aside from this quirkiness, it could be loose or corroded battery cables. I would think about checking/replacing those.
