Where the heck are they??????

I've been gathering information to start doing upgrades to my 85. I was planning on purchasing some straight pipe mufflers from Ecklers or MAD, replacing the 18 yr old cat., and putting on headers. Then I decided that I could probably get a shop to do custom duals all the way from the headers and buy the straight pipe mufflers for about the same or cheaper than I could purchase the parts, then install them myself...so the search began.

I found the straight pipe exhausts that I wanted (looking for a bit more growl ), and then I started looking for headers. I figured I would buy the pieces in bits as I went along, but I've already hit a brick wall...that's where you guys come in ;worship .


I CAN"T FIND HEADERS FOR AN 85 VETTE!!!!

I've searched all my catalogs, and I've gone to the Hooker Headers web site (this was the only manufacturer I knew about), and I can't find any for the 85's. Are they a myth? I can find them for 92 and above and for pre-84's but 85's seem to be the 'bigfoot' of the header world (everyone talks about them, but nobody's got any pictures). I'm beginning to think none were ever produced due the space constraints under the hood of the 85.

Can anyone suggest where else to look???:confused
