Not sure I saw one on Ebay for $199 bucks ( Thats no JOKE )

THAT Auction was at least for the GLASS TOO. There was another auction that was aboput just as high....JUST FOR THE STICKER! I forgot the final price. It wasnt one attached to the Glass but a MINT ONE that I could have EASILY scanned! I was bidding on it when it was reasonably priced! I had every intention of scanning it and posting it on my site for everybody to do with as they please. We all would have had some dirt cheap but along comes someone with too much $ for their own good and idiots bid it up! I emailed the winner asking if he was reproducing it but I didnt get any response. I have some very poor images from people's cars but they just arent good enough to reproduce.
I remember someone telling the story of how they pocketed a stack from the factory that were just tossed in the garbage at the end of the production year. I think it was Gordon Killebrew who then gave them out to people who asked. But the original supply dried up long ago, which was why I was so stoked to find the one on Ebay :bash

Nice, the way your 84 looks that picture looks like it was taken july 1984, that is definately the best well maintain Vette I have ever seen. If I find a sticker on ebay does it go just on one side of the car or is it on both sides? Does it stick on the inside or outside? The inside would make more sense.

Is your car all original or have you ported the intake and add some other performance stuff such as chip, K&N? My 84 is in great shape except my tension pully broke and I need some body work on the hood(small spider cracks) from the pulley hitting the under side of my hood. Why didn't they put the tension pulley lower down?ad

So, you bought a MINT sticker ...then stuck it onto your glass without scanning it?

Saw one on a car on one of the other forums. I asked the owner if he could send me a high res photo of it. I'm thinking of trying to just take it over to a Kinkos or something to see if they can make me a sticker. If it works out I can let you know.

BTW, I was reading an old Corvette Fever issue. Gordon Killebrew mentioned he remembered when these stickers were thrown away since they were never issued a GM part number. Rather than have the same thing happen to the "Endurance Stickers" in the early 90's he gathered them up and personally carried 3,000 ish of them down and had a part number assigned. Way to go Gordon!

Nope, wasn't referring to you. But if you wouldn't mind taking a close up of that sticker, that would be great. Also, could you maybe put a piece of black paper or something behind it? Or, if one of the Photoshop gurus around wouldn't mind cleaning up the pic, that would be cool.
