Where to install MSD box?

Guys,

Before I buy one, I wanted to plan on
exactly how/where I would but an
MSD ignition box. It's an 8"x 3.5" x2.5"
electronics box, needs proper cooling,
so glove compartment is out.

I was thinking the front pass. well just
forward of the wheel, where the coolant
res. and pass. horn are. I don't like this
area much (what if coolant overflows? need
to make sure wires clear the head light...)
but I can't see anywhere else to shoe-horn
the box in.

Also, I would need to fab. a big bracket
or something to get the box to attach to the
frame in this area, frame is not near there.

Suggestions?

I hate to drill into the dream car...
I am starting to think of alternatives
like velcro.

Just saw a '90 with the MSD box in the space in front of the drivers side front wheel, down by the vac canister.

tom...

I put mine on the fender between the Alternator and the BATT Look real good there and also it alows some space to work on it..
(Parrallel with the drivers side Valve cover)

Shadow A MSD Box it a performance part for your Ignition. It sends 60% more spark and also will spark your plugs 3 times, Giving you more horsepower and more acceleration. Of course with the ignition box you have to get a super coil or it was all for not..

My installer built a shelf for my rev limiter on the right side near the hood latch. You could do the same for the MSD box. ;)

My buddy and I installed one on his '85 Vette exactly where the batery sits. First, we mounted the battery in the well behind the drivers seat and then built a plate for the MSD to sit on. We chose this spot because the gills serve as a cooling device.

BTW, Ken........your motor looks wicked!:eek

Ya know Ken your motor looks TINY! I mean you can fit anything you want under there! WOW! It looks GOOD! I never realized that the L98 plenum was that high! You have the TPiS right? I can't WAIT to get that setup going.

Plus you've even crossed into the Big Block world now to right?
