I think the latter C3s ('75-'82), since they are not highly regarded (i.e.; no big-blocks, catalytic converters, no power, etc.) by supposed 'true' Corvette aficianodos, will never be worth the prices gotten for C1, C2, or even 'chrome-bumper sharks', and that's OK, too. The pre-'74 sharks are worth so much, few are driven, just for the sake of BEING driven! Latter sharks were built in large numbers, and they'll survive in large numbers, too. Due to being worth 'less' than their elder brothers & sisters, they're more likely to be 'modified and rod-ified', auto-crossed and drag raced. Their 'low' prices allow them to be many Corvette-lovers 'first' Vette; they've become 'EVERYMAN'S" Corvette! Because of this, the general public, and REAL Corvette lovers, will always associate the latter C3s (and be able to actually 'see' them on the roads of America) as the most popular (and plentiful) Corvettes of all. But, what do I know; I drive a Cross-Fire!!!!!
