I want to replace my rims due to some curb rash on them when I bought the car.I want to keep the factory look and have had not much luck finding A good set of used rims.I have found some pretty good deals on Ebay (believe it or not )but they have been rims for the 84-85.Which I have considered doing but again,I want to keep the original look.

I have had god luck with AFS wheels. www.afswheels.com

I don't know if they make those or not but there quality is top notch. I had a 18" set of Cobra's on my last Mustang GT. Very good to deal with and they back up their products.

From other threads on the forum , it sounds like you can refinish the wheels. That is what I plan on trying next summer, as I like my 90 wheels. At work I have a large enough lathe that I can spin them and get a nice polish on them. :D
:w

I wonder if the post-'85 rims were the same, but without the black plastic-like centers (removeable?) of the first C-4s.

You might check with a local wheel shop to see if they can repair that rash.

I think the convertible rims have the only change aren't they 16*9.5 and the coupes 16*8.5?

I had chrome AFS rims on my Mustang, they were top notch. I just got a set of ZR1 repro wheels on Ebay for $465 delivered!!!!!

There is a dealer in Sarasota, FL that is moving, they have LOTS of wheels online.

Here's thier Ebay store....

Whats the difference???

I see Chrome ZR1 wheels for about $800 on Ebay. Then I look at the AFS website and theirs are $1450. What am I missing here???????

eBay- there is at least one seller who has tons of late C4 and C5 wheels that I believe will require an offset for the early C4s to use.

Some are blems or some are just good deals. They sell a lot of there sets on e-bay.

Another Wheel question

I am thinking of changing from my stock sawblades which are still perfect and thought that the chrome ZR1's were what I wanted. Now I have seen some Z06 replicas that they make in 17". Does anyone know if they make the Z06's in the correct offset and widths so I can mount my tires on them and keep everything as it should be.? I don't want to have something that "sorta" works. It has to be right. Any help would be appreciated.

the ebay link above has them in the same offset as stock. The front tires will be wider than stock though, unless you have Z51 suspension.

On a separate note, does anyone know if these aftermarket wheels will work with LTPWS?

Any good wheel refininshing companies out there. I have found plenty that will chrome my wheels but none that will refinish

I've 2 complete sets of wheels and tires one set from an "85 and another from an '87 (i believe) if you w2ant i can send you pictures. rely to me at: blueace2@hotmail.com
i will sell these wheels for a really reasonable price, but you have to pay the shipping>
