which L98 fuel system upgrade?

I'm getting ready to buy a 89 vette and I need to know whats the best new fuel system to put in?

I'm already going to put in some long headers, Port and polish the heads and intake manifold, SuperRam intake, and some kind of chip(which chip should I buy?)

Any other good mods you can think of throw them out here.

I run a walbro 340 fuel pump. I belive that is the model I have...been in the car since '00

Welcome to I agree with TNT, Walbro going in shortly.

With that SR the LPE 74219 cam is a proven setup. You might also want to consider CompCams 1.6 Supercomp (I think) RR's as well as a good flowing exhaust. That'll keep you busy till you blow it up

Oh yea, almost forgot that AFPR. Holley makes a nice one, Summit has it listed for 305 third gen I think.

I think the stock fuel system could flow well enough for 400 hp right?

As for the chip, I would get one custom burned. They can be expensive but it's much better in the long run because it's a chip burned for your specific mods. The Hypertechs, et. all are burned for mass production. They don't know what mods you have done and the only difference you would see are fans turning on early.

Look up Jeff on the C4 mods page and send him an e-mail. He burned a chip for me less than 2 years ago and I'm extremely pleased.
