i just put some headers on my car, its a 99 c5 automatic. im not pleased with the noise or leaks.
if i was going to use a stock exhaust manifold, ive heard the 2004 z06/ls6 manifold is the best yet. can anyone verify this?
will they fit the car?
how much different are the air tube connections?
can i get the pieces and make it work on my 99?
i have 862 heads that have been opened to a semi d similar to the ls6/afr heads so the ports are not a issue, just the air tube stuff.
thanks,
don

When they went from the steel to the cast iron manifolds, they made a design change then. Don't think there is much difference amongst the years that the case iron was used. The cast iron is a Tri-Y design.

In order to use the 2001+ exhaust manifolds on your 99, you will have to change the air tube on the passenger side and replace the H pipe assembly with a 2001+ as well. Those manifolds are about two inches shorter than yours. – C.
