Which T-Stat?

Ok I have my fan switch working , works great,keeps it at mid 190's in this desert heat,I can run either one fan or both fans,My ? is what would be the lowest degree t-stat i could use without a powerchip,What is the factory t-stat 195 degree?,thanx. HaPpYmOtOrInG

LT1 factory T-stat is 180.. you could use a 160 with the lower fan temps.. without a Chip and it should work fine

the L98s had a factory 195 T-stat.. I am actually running a 160 in my 89

In the 85 I'm running the 160 (down here in FL) with a chip and temps are always below 200(except in those 2 hour traffic jams) but even then it's at 215 tops.:w
