To recap: I bought a '72 4/00, drove it for 3 days and took it to get painted.Got a call the next day and 17 mo.s later I get it back home (and am assembling the entire car myself bec I can't take their @**# excuses anymore).
After 5 wks of 14 hr days (I'm laid off)the car is on the road, but I have a question about the trans: although the P/N on the case begins w/a "C" (which denotes an M-20) the transmission shop that checked it out said it has the large input shaft and the 2 grooves in the output shaft, which denotes an M-22!
I can't run it and tell by the sound bec I'm still having a prob w/the right-rear parking brakes rubbing the brake drum.
I guess eventually (next couple of mo.s) I'll just have to pull it and have the M-22 gears installed (I couldn't afford it now), but any ideas on what this thing is?
Thanks for any input. Mark
