Did the upgrade to 50 watt. On the 1996 they go off w/ high beams. The General don't trust us to do the right thing I guess.

There's a black & purple coming off the socket. I hear if you ground one direct (instead of thru the headlight) the fogs stay on.

Which one do I cut & ground?

Thanks.

Now I can drive at night again.:s

Okay the 89-Older C4s you just cut the wire and reground it..

On the 91-newer the General redid the circuit and built it right (to a degree).

You need to cut the Lt Green wire from the Fog light relay. Pin #D2 and run the Pigtail from the relay side to ground. That should work..

Location of Relay is the Bottom R/H side of I/P in the relay retainer (per 1996 GM Shop Manual)

Hi Jeff,

Thanks, but what's the I/P (not familiar w/ that abbrev.)

Sorry.. I/P = instrument Panel.

The relay should be in the Relay retainer behind the Passenger side hush panel

Thanks Jeff, I'll tackle it this weekend!
