Don't think this gentleman ever played a Sgt. but he did appear on TV as a Pvt.

Acting was his second career ;)

In that case it MUST BE Roland La Starza, the former boxer and other private in the Gallant Men series.

:thumb Big Jim has another notch on his championship belt :thumb

"In a March 24, 1950 fight that went against him on a split decision, La Starza may have come closer than any other boxer to defeating Rocky Marciano. The scoring for the bout was 5–4, 4–5, 5–5, but La Starza lost on a supplemental point system used by New York and Massachusetts at that time. Both boxers were undefeated at the time of the fight, with La Starza's record at 37–0.

Roland La Starza was an American boxer and actor. Originally from the Van Nest section of the Bronx, La Starza fought 66 professional bouts from July 7, 1947 to May 8, 1961. He won 56 of the fights, 31 by knockout."

What threw me off was I could never find confirmation Roland was the soldier in the picture with Sharon Hugueny. Sharon has quite a story behind her life and acting career.

What also confused the search was there were many Privates in the show. After all, The Gallant Men was about the Army. Every soldier starts out as a Private. :W

Carry on, Jim! :w

Actually Greg, I think the man in the picture with Sharon Hugueny IS Eddie Fontaine, he was the womanizer in the squad... I assumed that our guy was was him too... I guess the clue was meant to be the show???

A real cutie back then eh?? How much snow you get last night/this morning?? I got about six inches in my driveway to deal with after work... yuck.

We do not measure the snowfall anymore.

Kinda like the Dunkin' Donuts guy from years ago. Just gets up every morning to make the donuts.

We get up every day to shovel snow.

As it turns out, I had 4 foot drifts in the driveway. 2 hours to clear out the "parking lot"...:mad:mad
