Who Makes The Best Exhaust For 75 (c3) Vett.

I ordered my hooker headers & sidepipes direct from JetHot (jethot.com) ceramic coated inside & out, then got sts spiral baffles from the c3sharktank (Scott had the best prices... c3sharktank.com). The hardware (headers & sidepipes) from JetHot came in original Holley packaging, with installation instructions. The baffles also came with installation instructions. I installed the baffles the evening before I did the headers/sidepipes, and the whole job took less than a day (but I had a mechanic buddy with air tools assisting). At least on my 75, when I removed the rocker panels, the frame had stock slots cut in it for the sidepipe brackets (one about mid-way of the doors, and one further back). I've heard mixed reviews on the slip in mufflers that come with hooker headers/sidepipes, but I can say from experience I REALLY like the (um, loud) sound of the baffles. And, yes, avoid touching the sidepipes when hot at all costs (you'll only do it once). Best of luck whichever option you choose....!

I don't know what all the fuss about burning your leg on sidepipes is about, I have had them since 1999 and never burnt my leg on them. I tell all new passengers to watch out for the pipes. Ive had sidepipes on another car and had motorcycles with straight pipes and the only time I have burned myself is when I slipped one time checking plugs on a hot engine.
Common sense tells you if you touch anything hot you will get burned.

Stock Exhaust Pipe Hanger

I have a used stock exhaust pipe hanger off my 78 that I no longer need. If you are switching to dual exhaust, you may be able to use this item - or you may have a failed hanger on your stock system. Either way, if anyone can use this part, you pay shipping ($5 Priority Mail should cover it) and it's yours. Again, it is used, stock 2-point mount bracket with isolating rubber straps for Corvette exhaust pipe.
