At the risk of exposing my Callaway ignorance, what is a B2k and a SNAT?

SuperNATural and B2K is the option code. ;)

Chris, at first I thought you were going to get into a talk about the "Mile HIGH Club". ;LOL

Funny stuff Ken :D ...I suppose if you were passing through Colorado that would qualify as "Mile High" however, I was referring to the 139k that particular B2K has on it... ;LOL

SurfnSun said he saw that car 3 years ago at a show in the Ozarks - I think it would make a nice driver if the price wasn't set in stone :m

I have talked with the owner last year!!! I think he has the car way overpriced!!! He did say that it was used as a daily driver from the previous owner!!! Also this car has been copletely been reapainted!!

Well technically......

B2K was the GM RPO (regular production option) code. The Callaway twin turbo was the only non-GM option which was orderable directly through GM (1987-1991).

SNAT ... short for SuperNatural was the Callaway marketing name for their upgrades to the LT-1 which was NOT turbocharged. Since it was normally aspirated (no turbos), they cleverly came up with the name of SuperNatural.

The pro's of turbocharging are the extra torque (between 25%-35% more torque than HP)...

The con's are the extra plumbing, potential for fluid leaks, and the potential to overboost and grenade the engine.

Other than the recent MazdaSpeed Protege project, Callaway has not been turbocharging since the Twin Turbo Corvettes (including the Speedsters).

That sure was neat, this past Feb, taking the grand tour of Old Lyme & seeing the fab parts that went into the Mazdaspeed project :cool

Just imagine all the cool stuff that must have been laying around back in the B2K building heyday :m
