Question: Who's swapped a 4 or 6 speed auto into a1996 LT4?

I have a friend with a '96 LT4 and 3:73 axle who swapped in an auto from an LT1 and am wondering who else has done this...I've got a 3:73 also and altho he says he loves it , in 4 years he's had the electronics tweaked at least 3 times and is waiting for an upgrade now so I can test drive it. it was around $5000.00 approx. for the swap. Altho you have a lovely 6 speed you can sell against that....anybody???

Tachs 2,200 @ 70; I'm gonna' go with a 3.07 soon here (from 3.45)...
