Why aren't Corvette's considered supercars?

What makes a supercar a supercar? It's the speed, looks, sound, technology. A Lamborghini Aventador has all of these qualities and so do Corvette's. So what gives? The Corvette C7 Z06 can go up 205 Mph and can beat the majority of most Lamborghini Aventador models. Not to mention most supercar and hypercar companies started out with Corvette and Ford engines. That Lamborghini you idolize was derived from a Corvette. The Corvette C8 and C7 ZR1 also have high speed and look sleek and aggressive especially the C8. Sure the ZR1 is not a Mid-Engine car but it beats a lot of cars in terms of speed. Corvette's are also more practical as a vehicle. Not every supercar has to be 300,000 USD. The Corvette C7 ZR1 can beat the Ferrari F8 Tribute by 4 MPH and at a WAY lower price too. Most base price for Corvette's is 60k to 100k. I would rather have a faster car that is cheaper, practical, and has an engine that sounds like no other. Corvette's should be accepted as supercars by now because everything a Ferrari or a Lamborghini can do, a Corvette can do it a little bit better at 1/4 of the price!
