Hey everyone,
My brother was comparing his '87 Z52 coupe to my '84 and asked me why his '87 sits low in front,I told him that most '87s I see are low in front but I don't quite know why? but he wants to raise the front of his '87 about 2" because mostly the front scrapes the driveway whether he pulls in forwards or backs in (he's tired of replacing lower air dams every year:ugh)
can he raise the front with different springs? Thanks in advance.....John

My son's 96 has the same problem, eating air dams.

Most guys LOWER the front without changing the spring, they simply change the shims holding the spring.

So I suppose the same thing can be done to raise the front. I guess all you'd need to do is add additional shims. Hopefully someone will post the exact procedure.

Thanks Jake, Hows the Vette search coming? I read all about your '96 and I feel bad for you but good also because searching for Vettes is FUN!!:)

The search is going well; I've got a few lined up t look at.

The Hartford has made me a VERY NICE settlement offer. It's just that they failed to include a couple of options I had on the car, like Sport Seats and 3.07 gear, in calculating the offer amount.

Once we straighten that out, I'll check out the ones I've found that are for sale. I prefer to deal with cash in hand.

Thanks for asking.

Jake
