wider 68-77 door sill plates on a 82

Is this a direct bolt on thing? I've found a few I like verses my original door sill moulding but just curious if the fit without looking out of place on the car. Any of you have custom door sill pictures that you have put on your 78-82's?

I seen some clear plastic ones to protect the original ones, but never any thing to replace them, here's your chance to sell something new, run with it!!

Earlier sills will probably fit since C3 doors and door openings did not change much during the production run. Screw holes probably won't line up.
