Will Mobil 1 Help Reduce "puff Of Smoke " At Start-up?

Don't use Monbil 1 unless you want to do a top end rebuild sooner than you expected. You WILL find leakage in places you never realized.

Just because the factory Vettes (and Vipers) come with it from the factory does not make it better. Mobil pays these manufacturers plenty of money to do this, and it is absolutely terrible to use during the break-in period.

I am not a fan of Mobil 1 at all. There are better oils out there, that will fit you application without the consequences. Call up Paul Baker at Baker Racing. H can give you the scoop, and he invented Neo Oils. He's run every test in the book against other oils. Many race teams (they just added 2 more F1 teams) use their oils and pay for it (not via sponsorship).

Good luck.

Where did you get your info about top end rebuilds and why there were problems.......There are alot of variables ....

puff of smoke

If the puff of smoke also appears just when you let off the gas avter accerelation, it indicates the valve seals are worn somewhat.
