Ok guys this summer I was thinking about putting the ZZ9 cam with new heads and a mini ram on my 88'. Of course a new chip will be required. I just need to know if it is to radical to pass the smog test. Another question is it better to have both valves using 1.6 rockers or should they be split 1.5-1.6. I am close to LAX so if there is anyone near that I can talk to about a chip or tuning that would also be appreciated. I have an auto trans with 3.07s. Would a stall be that necessary?

Thanks, Mark

I am happy with the 1.5-1.6 split rocker with my ZZ9..

not sure on the smog ?? though

What heads will you be using?

I can get a great deal on the edlebrock vette heads. Do you know what kind of power you are pushing out, and is the 1.5 rocker the exhaust or intake?

TPIS says that this cam will pass in CA. As for the Edlebrock heads if you check their website they are only good for 25 hp, they are cheap but I guess that is why. Maybe you should get your own heads done.
