1982 collectors edition
Does anyone use this program with there car.

On my 1982 collector edition it works fine, a lot of information

One thing that I cannot do.

It says on some of the charts that you can save the information
in a file on your computer, I tried very hard and can't do this.

Did anyone do this, save a file and go back and look at it later?

Thanks, JIm

If I remember correctly you can't save any info on the Prom. You can burn a new one and replace the old one but that's it. Newer ECM's have a Prom that can be flashed with new info. Don't know what ECM number that would be to replace the 82 one.

Greetings Peter

...If I remember correctly you can't save any info on the Prom...

Correct. PROM is an acronym for Programmable Read Only Memory. You can't save to read only memory.

JimBil: what type of file is your software wanting to save on the computer? The software should allow you to select a location where you want the file to be stored (saved).

Sorry Guys,I must have got you on the wrong track.

I want to STORE DATA ON MY LAPTOP for further review.

There is a feature for that but whenever I am finished I cannot find any file on my laptop.

I am using the latest program.

Looking at the sensor data etc is very helpfull if it can be stored and anylized. Thanks, Jim

The technology that we have today was not available in 1982,let alone thought of..I don't know if there are programs available to store and analyze data from that era.....
