Hi there

I'm interested in buying a wind deflector for my convertible but I don't want to cut or drill my vette.

Has someone of you already bought this part and could tell my how it is fixed. (regarding the complexity photos would be appreciated).
Is it easy to fix it.
Is it a good investment for 350$.

Thanks in advance.

I got the 'Vette Net' on sale a while back. It requires no mods and only adds about 10 seconds to the amount of time it takes to put the top up/down. Here's a link to it on Eckler's website, I'm not sure who else sells it.

It's one of the best things I got for the car - I'm a top down junkie, but certain passengers tend to complain about the 'Hairdo by Chevrolet' effect. This gives us the best of both worlds as it eliminates about 90% of the noise and air flow from behind.

I saw it on Westcoastcorvette website
No mod OK but how the mounting brackets may be hold in place by the deck lid.

The mounting brackets are plastic covered in foam. They are held in by the decklid itself when you close it. It's a pretty nifty system, and I've never suffered any ill-effects from it.

The brackets jsut go into one of the small trunk cubby's when you're not using the deflector.

I actually found their website - this has some good pics of the installation and the little brackets.

Thanks Mike
The brackets are just dropped !!
I'm very surprised. It may move at high speed isn't it.

Yes - the brackets just drop in and you close the deck-lid on them.

They don't move at high speed. I've been north of a buck 20 with the top down, and you can still carry on a conversation (if you've got the windows up, of course).

I think you'll be glad you did - I'm glad I got mine.
