has anyone bought the window sweeps that are on ebay if so are they any good or junk thanks for any replys geo

Provide a link. If they are the outer ones, they are relatively cheap fron the General.

I did. Already installed them on my 1990 coupe. Cannot say any bad on them. Fit well. Bought new for around $60.00 a pair.

thundervette did you have to rivet the sweeps you bought or did they go on lip of doort

geogolf,
they mount the same way as originals did - fix with clips to door internal edge, and I also riveted 3 pcs rivets per side - if need you pics - will post later - let me know

hey thunder if you could post a few pics that would be great thanks foyour help geo

geo,
here are pics - sorry for low quality,
in general - just a gap of 1-1.5mm at rear end of each side sweep is not OK - maybe it was just my bad luck with exactly this pair of sweeps...
For OEMs I think there will not be any gap.

I replaced mine last week (86 Coupe). Didn't even have to pull door panel off.
Used a chisel to remove rivets, used long straight edge screwdriver to help clips into holes, used 12mm x 1/2 in. sheet metal screws in rivet holes.
