When I press the button to open the window, I hear a slight click like a relay is pulling up, but no movement in the window. The passenger window works fine. I have not tried the option to open it with the convertible top cover release button as I am away from home just now and am afraid it may open but then not go back up, if the window switch is bad. Could someone share some insights into possible solutions. Also how does the switch cover plate in the drivers door (that holds all the buttons) come off? Maybe it pops off? Thanks, Mark ghfun@aol.com

Yes the drivers side controls just pop off.. you have to pry a little around the controlls and they will pop off.. most likely the window motor took a dump on you.. but you have to test the circut to make shure you are geting power to it..

I only got one reply so I looked today and the message envelop icon has like a black dot on it. Did I close this somehow?

I appreciate the response from BlackNBlue95 but did not mean to close this out. If any one has any other thoughts please respond. Also, where on this site do I go to learn better how to use these posts.
Thanks!

Despite the dealer telling me the motor was dead meat, my mechanic took the door panel off , tapped the motor and there you go, not dead meat at all, working great for over a month now.
