After finally getting my door panel to fit with all the proper clearances. . .I went to mount the new Window Crank Handel. . .only to find that the window crank shaft is too striped to allow the new handel to operate the window.

I've ordered a new Window Crank Shaft. Before I take the door apart, I would like to know if there are any gotcha's that I need to look out for.

I'm assuming that I just unbolt the three bolts that appear to hold the window crank shaft cover on. . .then pull out to hold shaft. . .and replace with the new one. Is that about right?

What I don't know is if those three bolts alos hold the entire regulator mechnaism to the inside of the door. . .and if I will be inviting a complete window regulator disater by removing those three bolts. . .without supporting the regulator on the inside of the door.

Regards,
JR
