I have a 76 corvette and the windshield wipers do not work... I have a feeling its in the switch because I bought a new ACDelco wiper motor and that didn't fix the problem... I don't know if its common or anything so I thought I would ask if anyone can suggest what to look at first?

I had the same problem. Before digging around at all take a look at the connector to the motor on the firewall in the engine compartment. An easy knock off, at least it was for me.

Also check your dash console at the top sides right under the wiper switch. I assume you have the same dash as a 75 and the metal is real thin at two points and can crack there. When this happens you can loose the ground to the switch.

If this is the case just run a jumper wire from the bottom section to the top section and see if that fixes the problem. If so you need to buy a new upper console or you can run a short jumper wire between the sections on the backside and repair the cracks with a metal filler.

Look on the right side by the starter and there is a big ground wire. My 78 wiring diagram shows it real well. That fixed mine.

Thanx for ALL the tips... any more things I can try would be great!
