Winshield Pillar

Is there an easy way to check the pillar's for rust on a car that is for sale? Better yet how do you do it on your own car? I have a bad habbit of bending trim.Thank's

Run a white buisness card in between the glass and the moulding. If you get a rusty color you probably have a problem. This is the easiest way I know of and I always carry extra cards with me.
