1966,and a 1962 thats almost complete
Well this year I went on a purchasing spree in september for all the projects I had planned for my C2.I got all my parts (well almost I now realize I need to cosmedicly restore my shafts on my car )

And the only thing I was able to acomplish so far was the new tranny, clutch, bellhousing, and some parts of the frame repainted.New hidden stereo thatI LOVE and side pipe cover installed.

All this I completed 3 days prior to oct 17th,(My knee surgery) Since that day I have not been able to get back into the garage to work on the vette.I did complete a home project but none on the vette.I am shocked how fast time has passed (pretty soon it will be top down weather and again Ill be rushing in the garage to acomplish my projects

I hope you are recouperating well. Your excuse is much better than mine. I've just been spending too much time online. :CRASH
The intake is off my '81, there is a battery drain on my '71, and the '66 still needs several little things done, inluding a carb swap. I even have a nice heated outbuilding to work in. :o Once it warms up outside a little more I, too, tend to get a lot more motivated!

Winter Projects

Well, the CCC has lots of winter project lined up, but mine included a very early winter (late fall actually) clutch change to a Centerforce DF (dyNOmite!!!), a new MSD billet distributor (the original #s goes to the box), and and underbody chambered exhaust with X-pipe down the winter road.... :D Since we tend to do these things as group projects, that will probably come after CO Sledgehammers engine change. Should be fun, however....

Jeff its funney I am removing a msd set up to go to the original TI set up. That I still have to aquire some parts for

When I installed my msd set up I hid the box behind the battery right near the fender vents.I painted it black,I actually change the chip in it from out side of the engine bay thru the fender vent
I also made up a custom set of HIGH energy spark plug wires sheilded as the original style are from a set of accell wires. one thing I can say is this car has allways had a quick and easey start regaurdless of tempiture if you want I can take a picture of where I hid the book and what the wires looked like

winter projects

Unfortunately for my Vette, most of my projects have been in the house renovation department. I finished off the rear deck (replaced plywood and added vinyl covering) and the hot tub (poured foundation and pad, built cover over top and added to deck) as well as building shelves in the garage.

I've got a bathroom disassembled which needs to be finished. There was two small bathrooms side by side; an ensuite and the main bathroom. I removed the wall between the two, pulled out two old steel tubs to put in one jetted tub, removed two small windows and replaced with one large window, replaced the subfloor, finished off the drywall, replaced the cabinets. Now I'm ready to paint and put down tiles, install the corner shower, whatever. Luckily, the house has a full bathroom downstairs as well so no urgency to complete, just my usual self-induced pressure to get it done.

Once that bathroom is done, Mrs. Mac wants me to drywall downstairs (laundry room, rec room and storage area) and install a window in the laundry room. Maybe once that's all done, she'll relent and let me play with my car. Of course, I'll be so broke, I won't be able to afford to do much. sigh.

I finished up the fresh air induction in Dec. Finished the front calipers in Jan. This month I'll pull the instrument cluster and send it out for it's first professional redo. While that's out the clock gets some attention, and grill over the speaker needs to be repainted. The I'm sure I getting a new set of headers from Clearrun to replace the old ones. Some other very small things and be ready for the road.

I don't think I'd make money at it. I'm too slow and too fussy. Excellent qualifications for a Vette restorer, don't you think?

Welcome aboard, Dennis!! I think you'll like it over here!!

Mac,

If the policing business ever wears you down you could always become a home renovater. :D

And, Bluestripe67, it's real good to see your familiar name over here, Dennis. :beer
