I can't open the doors on my 89 roadster. They're stuck shut - window glass-to-weatherstrip. last winter I applied GM's weatherstyrip treatment but it didn't help. It seems to be only cold related as they stuck before we had snow. Anyone suggest a treatment? The car parks outside now so leaving partly open isn't an option. That's what used to do when I had a garage.

Remote start - with the heat pegged.

Get some silicone grease that's a little more viscous. Pulling on that weatherstripping can't be a good thing...

I have a similiar problem with the tonuuea cover of my truck. In cold weather it is a bear to open. The other night I seperated the seal from the cover trying to open it. I beleive I will try whatever is suggested in this thread.

Go to the pool supply store and get that tube of silicone grease use to lube pool and spa vinyl and seals. Armour-All also has a Gel that works pretty well. Thick enough to stay on, not quite as thick as grease.

To open stuck doors, use the blow dryer around the edges...carefully. Just enough to warm the seal and not heat the glass too rapidly. Really sucks if you have to get in the car to go buy a blowdryer...:rotfl
