I replaced my hood on my 1969 vette with the long one to eliminate the wiper door problems. can amyone tell me how to get the wiper motor to work now.thanks for all your help. Tom

When you turn your wipers on do you even hear a "click"? This would tell you that the wiper motor is getting voltage but something has siezed. If it is not getting any voltage then it could be a fuse, maybe the wiring up to the wiper motor. This is a place to start.

the motor has just been rebuilt and there is a click, but i think there is a limit switch or something you bypass before it will work Im not sure.

If you removed the wiper door and changed the hood you have to bypass the switch that's in the wiper circuit which prevents the motor from running until the door is open.

To be honest with you, it's been so long since I did that to my 71, I can't remember exactly where the switch is but it's located in the "well" at the base of the windshield where the wiper linkage is--over towards the passenger side. I unplugged that switch then connected the two prings of the female plug with a short length of wire.

thanks so much HIB I will give that a try, thanks again Tom
