i have a 93 corvette and have not driven it in 2 months.i have had it in the shop to getpainted. when i got it back i drove it home and when i got out it started rolling. i tried putting it into park ,it locked into place on the shifter but still was not into park, still rolling. any ideas whast this could be???????????????

Either the shifter is way out of adjustment, the shift cable is defective or the parking pawl inside the transmission is faulty.

Hib, this is Craven, thanks for your input.this could be so helpful to me. if anyone else has any ideas, please feel free to post a thread. once again, thanks Hib

There's a bracket for the shifter cable on the drivers side of the trans. It is held on with 2 of the bolts that hold the pan on. If these bolts are loose, it can cause your no-PARK.

thanks for taking time to give me an idea Dave. all input is appreciated:beer
