Looking for a 2818-1 for my 64. Any date code. Rebuildable OK. Don't want to spend $600 like the on listed on eBay this week.

I have a 2818 that needs a rebuild $175 Chris 408 209 3805 www corvettejunk.com

Hiya Vig, long time, no see. That's the same outfit that it trying to sell a restored 2818 for $695.00. I have been watching all the carbs on ebay for a while trying to determine a reasonable price. The rebuild/restored ones seem to go for big $$$$, while the questionable rebuildable ones go for more than the price of a new Holley 1850 (about $259). The one you identified didn't even make the reserve (ending bid $283.00), so go figure what this guy really wants for it.

Since my car is a driver, I'll probably end up with a replacement Holley 1850 and use 66/67 oil fill tube and PVC system. I'd like to keep the original choke tube vs electric choke, but I'm not sure that will work on an 1850 carb.

Since my search has been going nowhere as of late, I'm bumping this one back up.

Still looking. Need a Complete carb, including choke housing, etc..., good or rebuildable.
