Anyone have a 1993 seat track (6 way) for sale at a reasonable price? I need both, but if you only have one, I can use that too... Thanks

I have a pair from an 86, not 6 way power and they are different as the catalogs list 84-87E 87L-?. The passenger side is a manual those are the same for all years.

I have to have the 6ways... I think only 92 or 93 will work, but not sure... I'll do some checking....

All C4s with power seats have seat tracks that will break. Just buy two new ones, or better yet get rebuilts with steel bushings. The originals have plastic bushings inside that break and render these things inoperative. When you buy used ones you are buying someone else's problems.

Greg, Which vendors use steel bushings? I just want to make sure I send mine to the correct place (ie not ones that replace with plastic)...

Power Seat Tracks

I bought new GM units for a little over $300 each and I'm OK with that because they work very well and will probably last as long as I have this car. I heard afterwards about the rebuilt units and I see now all the big name Corvette mail order parts houses offer them. I think they are available for about half the cost for new GM with the big name Corvette parts houses being a little higher. I would do a google search to see if you can find the vendor who does them. I have seen them on eBay from time to time also but cannot vouch for the quality of course. Perhaps another forum member can recommend a supplier. All the rebuilt units I have seen advertised replacing plastic with steel parts inside. A word of caution may be helpful. There are a couple of plugs associated with the power seat motors and each plug has about six various color coded wires. The plugs are the same and it is possible to get them reversed. The seats will not work if you plug them in incorrectly. Before you unplug the harnesses from the seat motors be sure to note the orientation of the plugs and the wire colors. If I remember correctly when you plug in to make the wire colors match it will not work. Colors that do not match colors on the motor harness is the correct orientation.

Regards, Greg

I wish I had the wiring color cordination between the older bottom and newer seat, it's giving me fits
