Currently in a Red '86 Z51 4+3 Coupe, totally stock. I am the original owner and have taken care to baby my baby. 59k fair weather miles are on the odometer.

Since my fillings are still firmly in my mouth, I am now lusting after a late production run C4 with LT4 power. Must be a 6 speed but that was all the LT4's were in '96 as I understand it. Since I am giving up a clean, pampered vehicle, I want to replace it with one at least as well maintained. Minor performance mods would be considered i.e. exhaust. Nothing radical that would lead me to believe that someone used the car for mostly short (1/4 mile) trips.

Does anyone know how many LT4 Z51's were made in 1996? Also what would be a fair and reasonable price for a 35K mile driver?

6 Shooter:

Thanks for the Production Specs.

Can you offer any pointers on how best to determin the market price for such a vehicle?

BTW, your duo is dynomite. That's what I'm talking about.

Thanks, but I'm only a single Corvette owner. The LT4 sold last fall before I picked up the C5 Roadster.

I've found the best way to determine current market prices is watch e-bay and other auto auctions for a period of time.

LT4's on e-bay

Enjoy the hunt for your LT4, they were 1 of the best C4's built.

Let us know what ya end up with!

I have a LT4 Polo green 35000 mile car for sale. Give me a call.

Mike:

Polo Green is not my favorite. What are the RPO codes and is Z51 one of them?

Thanks for your time.

No the car does not have Z51. In 96 Z51 was like a driving a brick. It has the heavy duty brakes. This car is very sweet. It is immaculate and priced to sell.

Frank:

Thank's for pointing this one out. Does it have the Performance Handling Package (Z51)?
