Just got back from the Funfest, and I was chosen by the a Judge of the Bloomington Gold Event for a Celeberty pick as the one of the top 30 cars out of about 12,000 (that's not a typo) Corvettes that showed up Saturday at the Funfest in Effingham. Mike Yeager put on a great show, he and all his staff should be congradulated for the great time all of us had, especially the free Beach Boy Concert...it was great.

I am so happy that the car was chosen. The celeberty judges were called and within a few minutes one of the judges approached me saying he picked my car as one of the best at the show. Then about 10 minuites later another celeberty judge approached me and wanted to pick my car, but noticed it already was chosen for an award....pretty neat heh...two judges within 15 mins. Both judges told me they looked my car over very carefully Friday and thought it was one of the best restored 63's they ever saw...and just think one of the judges was a judge from the Bloomington show....is that cool?

Just got in and wanted to post....loved the show, but spent 12 hours to and 12 hours back towing the 63....must of went through $350. of diesel fuel...but it was worth it...Mike does a great job with the show....FUNFEST was a BLAST. I will post PHotos later.....

SEE YA ALL LATER....

Congratulations Collin. Well deserved as always and you thought I was just kidding awhile ago when I said you had better add an extension onto the house to hold and display all these trophies and awards that you are going to win. It's wonderful to see people deservingly being rewarded for their efforts:upthumbs .

Collin,

Looks like your car is grabbing top honors every time you show it - that says a lot about your workmanship and passion for perfection. I think you own one of the finest split windows out there. Congratulations!

Hey Collin,

I was there on Saturday too; I think I may have even snapped a few pictures of your car. I took over 77 pictures at the show it was a great time, I had my six-year-old daughter with me and she loved the show too. I think your right Mid America deserves a big applause for their efforts.

Funfest was definatly a blast and I agree totally with the judges.

It was great to see the turnout from the C A C . :D

Collin,

Congratulations - again! :upthumbs

We went to the Fun Fest for the first time last year and it was a great event. I do wonder though how the total car count is made and wonder how many are on the grounds each day. It gets bigger every year....... :D

Hey! I recognize those faces.

Congratulations Collin. Well deserved and I hope to see your car one of these days.

Hi! Collin

Congratulations! What a great 63 SWC you have.

Collin congrats

I think its absolutely great you shairing the car with others. I am sure after that trip you have a good handle on driving with a trailer behind you. Its a shame the season is ending so soon. Are you ready for flight judging yet? orlando is a great place to be in the winter,

I still have a couple of small things that I want to get resolved...mainly the starter is not datecoded and I need that done. Otherwise I hope to Top Flight next year....I will keep you informed...

Would love to, but really have to wait and see what work schedule is...thinking of Bloomington....never been there and would like to enter car to see how well it would do....its going to be a big year for me next year, but work takes prioirty...

Hip, Hip Horray

Congrats on your Celeberty pick, glad to see all had a good time at the gathering.

You might want to ask 67heaven how they go about counting the thousands of Corvettes that attend the Fun-Fest. I heard it at a social dinner one evening, and I choked on my soup. ;LOL ;LOL ;LOL
