Well.. Today was the first day i drove my vette in about 10 days.. I only drove it because my G/F took my daily driver because her car is broken, and i had a doctors appointment. So knowing that the car was sitting for a short while, i decided to open it up on the highway, and clear out some carbon. I was on the On ramp rolling at about 15 MPH when i saw a gap and floored.. It climbed decently untill about 3,500 RPM when it started to hesitate.. It felt almost as if i was keeping the pedal in 1/4 position, when in fact i was flooring it. The RPM would NOT rise above 3,500. So i let off the gas to let it shift, and when it did i gave it some more gas.. about 3/4 or so. It climbed so/so, but not as a corvette should, untill it shifted, but persisted to hesitate under full throttle. I also noticed that while crusing at any speed the car starts to buck, again, like it is hesitating.. I tried to manually put the car in first gear and floor it, and it still hesitates, but not as much. I am thinking this could be computer related, but would like to know what you guys think, and if you have experianced a problem similar to this in any way. Thanks.

Ditto with the fuel filter! That would be the first place I would look.

Double Ditto - fuel filter or severe vacuum leak, although you would probably notice that at an idle.

I must echo the previous three!

First replace the fuel filter.

Second, check the "sock" on the end of the fuel pump. If you've let it sit, all the gunge in the gas has probably settled to the bottom of the tank and clogged that up also.

When you do the one, you should look at doing both. It should take about two hours to do both.

Make certain you disconnect the battery before you do either.

Drive it more often, it's just pouting...
Seriously, the advice above looks good.

If its not the fuel filter, which is also what I suspect, you might check the catalic converter, I once had a cat get plugged up and it acted the same way as a fuel filter, the car would not rev or would it shift it to high gear, just a thought.

Well i thought the same as you did (with the fuel filter) but the car only acts like this in drive. If i put it in neutral it revs 100% a-okay. But i picked up a filter just to be safe ($5.00), just waiting for it to stop raining to get it on there.. Any other suggestions?

it needs more fuel under load than in neutral filter is the first check for sure;) steve

All of the above plus fuel pressure regulator. And bradfordvettes is correct, the engine needs a lot more fuel under load than unloaded, so reving at idle will not show a fuel flow problem.
