Help! Year of production by serial #

Sorry if I'm going over old material, I did a search but didn't find the info I need. But I looking at a black ZR1 90 to 95, I think it's a 92, but I have the vin, What digit is the year and any other info I can gleen from the VIN # Thank you !

It's Black, paint is shot and it's a six speed, but has a brick under the right front tire, So I assume it either doesn't have a working hand brake or the clutch and or trans is shot. It also hasn't been state safety inspected in three years ? But it's the LT5 that is of most concern to me. ;help

Thanks Guys, It's a 1990 black ZR1 ! Wonder what this guys gonna want for it? I get real scared with a LT5 . ;help

Could make a nice project, but with an LT5 I doubt its gonna go cheap!

For all ZR1s (1990 - 1995) the eighth character in the VIN is "J", the tenth designates the year as warren s posted.
