OOOOOOOKKKKKKKKKK,,,, don't think I want to rearend anyone soon. ;LOL

LOL, I went on a wreck the other day "I'm a professional Firefighter-Paramedic". When I rounded the corner in the Fire engine I see this white late '80's style Old's 4-door above the backed up traffic. As I arrive on the scene there is a Hunter Green 2001-2 vette under the Old's. Not a window or the windshield had a crack in it but the front was smashed pretty good on the Vette. I talked to the owner "was'nt hurt" and he said the Old's stopped short and he just went under it! ;LOL He said he had JUST left the body shop because he JUST got the car back from getting some front damage fixed from last month. I said to him "Well sir, as a fellow Corvette owner I'd like to extend my condolences". Then we just started talking Vettes. I'd like to think I made him feel a little better. I have pictures "always have a camera on duty for stuff like this", trying to get them scanned and I'll try to post them soon.

Never know when you might see something like this. I hope I dont see anything that resembles a car on top of a vette anytime soon.

Think that's bad? Type in wreckedvettes.com (I think that's the website) in the search window of your home page and you'll see all kinds of ways Vettes meet a horrible end! :(

No luck on that website :confused

That has got to be the most horrid thing I have ever seen :cry What is up with those people, kind of noticed most were ZR-1's.

:ugh Those pics put a little fear in my heart & a little less lead in my foot.:ugh

Could you imagine if sweet was in one of those pics. We would surely not do that to our cars. What are these vette owners doing. What A@#$HOLES.:mad

Important observation:
Allot of these pics show Corvettes wrecked in feilds or woods.
That means the drivers were on open roads going real fast, and failed to negotiate a curve.
Probably not familiar with the road.

The moral to the story: If you are going to open it up and go past 100MPH, KNOW the road you are on.
The life and Vette you save, may be your own.

The Vettes and most other sports car in Turkey are driven by young and very rich kids... It is nearly impossible to find a Vette without an accident history. Once my son told me a kid in his school recked a Corvette and came to school with a Ferrari next day...

In my honest belief such cars have to be driven by very cautious people. A mental test may be necessary before sale of the car! I told my sons they would never ever drive my car on day one. Even at age of 48 I cannot stop myself from getting impressed with the power of that animal... I once drove it at approx 200 kph (120 mph) for a short distance and probably will never do that again.

Awesome.... course a good body man can fix most of them, a little scratch remover, some touch-up paint, and new glass.... Hope there wasn't serious carnage involved. Did anyone notice that the great majority of these wrecks are late-model Vettes?? Dare I say the late model production run could be way too powerful for the masses??

I did notice that most were of the C4 and C5 generation. However a big majority of them were ZR-1's. They were probably first time owners with that car, and didn't know how to handle a car. When I drove a Z06 for the first time I felt right at home, and had no problem laying itno it a little.
