Seminar topics your opinions are needed!!!!!!!

Hey folks,we are looking for input about what type of seminars you would like to see put on at Cruisefest. Most of the other details have been figured out, we are looking for what YOU want in the way of seminars.

Interior-Upholstery
Detailing
????
???

Please look at this and post your thoughts. The sooner that we get this worked out the sooner the registration can begin.

Maybe a Seminar on stripping a car body and preparing it for paint. I know that Mid America has people there that restores cars for them. ormaybe a seminar of restoring cars in general Chassis, interior, body, (stripping paint, preping the body and painting), putting a car back together? Older cars. Maybe a seminar redoing (restoreing) parts like chroming etc vs. buying new repro parts?

Mike, Thank you for your input. You've done most all of that haven't you? Maybe you'd be willing to help out in getting something like that together?

Kenny Yager has done a lot more then I have plus they have several people at Mid America that pretty much do that stuff full time. I can call Kenny if you would like me to and see what I can get set up. Just let me know. Maybe we can even get brett henderson to come and do a thing on restoring 53-55 Corvettes. He is probably the best in the country.

I can have Deb (at MAM) to talk to Kenny. As far as Brett, my concern would be the number of people who might attend the seminar. Not that the topic isn't good, it just not many of us have those model years and are working on them.

What do you guys say? Those of you who might/will be attending CruiseFest, how many of you would be interested in this type of seminar?

Yeah, have Deb talk to Kenny. True about Brett and restoring the real old ones like I do. I am in the middle od stripping my 54 so it will find a new life as a 54 Corvair Motorama Car. Maybe even have Mid America do something on replacing carpet and or seat covers. They have guys there that do that also, just an idea?

Tom, I looked for my response to your request about topics at CF in 2011 that I made the same day you posted the original request; it is not on the site. So I will re-suggest it. Last year Jane Ann was going to have a seminar on posting photos to the CAC site, but alas she could not make it. Yoda came thru for me and taught me one-on-one how to post photos (thanks again Bud). I believe that a seminar on this would be appropriate as I never would have figured out how to post photos without Bud's step by step tutorial. Then he made me go thru it again just to make sure I understood. I made notes on everything and was able to post photos when I got home - you remember Tom, the photos were of you cleaning the interior of your Corvette while the seats were being recovered. If CAC does decide to include this as a seminar, I suggest some handouts with every step included, and I mean every step. Bud told me why each step was necessary and did not assume that I knew something that I did not know. It took Bud over an hour to teach me, I've become a slower learner as I get older (Nancy even put up with me late that night as Bud was holding class in their hotel room) and then took more time to make sure I really understood it. I would attend again just as a refresher. Also, I would like instructions on posting photos to my personal album on the CAC site. I've tried, but it does not seem to work. Those photos must be in a special place on the site; they were probably joined by my original response to your request.

Tom....I'd attend a seminar on paint reconditioning....you never know what you're going to learn that might be useful a latter date and time.
Earlier another forum member submitted an idea along the same topic.....paint touch up repair....you might be able to roll all this into one extended seminar.;)
