Z06 Color opinions please

I can only offer a word of advice that was passed on to me by a friend in the used car business years ago:Never buy a car in a "trendy" color - you may have problems getting rid of it when it's not so trendy."

Hard to say for sure what will happen with AO, but DSOM is obviously NOT a trendy color (witness the well-known sales figures). I'd say it's more like an orphan color. Yellow is what I would call a trendy color--high sales figures now though not so popular historically. But I don't think it will be abandoned next year, so I wouldn't worry about that too much. Corvettes are mostly sold in classic colors, especially red and black, maybe silver. So if the only thing that concerns you is resale, those might be the best choices. But to me, that doesn't seem like the best reason to choose a new car color. How about choose what you like?

Since I have had all the colors except orange and blue, I put my order in as atomic orange first with lemans blue as a seond choice. The factory is only building a few AO cars on my TPW so the rep is telling me it will likely be blue. If this is the case, I should be accomplishing both goals - a different color and strong resale (the blue C6's have been doing very well at auction the last 2 years). Thanks for all the input and I'll post some pics when I take delivery. And anyone that is interested in owning this fully loaded lemans blue Z06 in a year or so should keep in contact with me.

Bottom Line Color !!!!!!!!!!!!!

In my humble opinion a Z-06 should only be Very Yellow and then Black. The yellow is the only color that gets my attention and the new Red leaves me wanting.
My cousin has the Machine Silver and it' a great color but not on the Z-06. too bland.

Would I buy black? NO...too hard to clean and, and too much work to maintain a black Corvette.

Here's my vote - MS shows the lines better than any other color IMO.

Beautiful pic, but the color is rather affected by ambient lighting (sunset?)

Again l would have to say that V yellow is the most striking color of all!

The z06 is really a race machine and should be dressed that way period. The red is too weak of a red and the M silver is bland for sure.

Otherwise most everything made sense (except your spelling of cents).

Oh, and one more thing--you said you would decide based on what other people like. To me that seems a silly way to make your decisions.... I didn't buy DSOM to follow the crowd (I knew at the time it was an unpopular color), but also didn't buy it to be exceptional. I guess I never have been a follower--I ordered DSOM because I thought I would like it!
