Z06 Exhaust Tips, Are they Stainless........

Are the Tips on the Stock Z06 Exhaust System Stainless steel, or are they titanium like the rest of the system? Can they be polished to a bright finish?

Chevy calls them "Chrome Flashed Tips". Now, since the entire muffler system is Ti, and the pipes coming out of the mufflers are Ti, and the tips are welded to the outlet pipes, then I believe the chrome flashed tip base metal is also Ti.

They actually flashed chrome!
