Z06 exhaust.

Just called the local vette shop about installing Z06 mufflers on my 2004. They said they wouldn't fit. Anyone shed any info on this. Thanks.

I'm actually planning on doing the same on my 2001 so I too would appreciate any info.

People commonly put the Z06 cat back system on non-Z06 C5's. I don't know about just the mufflers. They are titanium, so welding could be an issue. The Z06 system does fit back there- after all they are essentially the same car.

I have to say I screwed up when I talked to the gal at the shop. She understood that I wanted the whole exhaust system, not just the cat back. Sorry for making such a stupid post in the first place.

I think that there is an issue with differences in the exhaust manifolds, but I am not sure.

I think everyone around here pretty much subscribes to the opinion that the only stupid questions are the ones you didn't ask.
