Z06 Intake / Exhaust Swap Questions

I have seen several posts discussing switching the stock LS-1 intake air box and exhaust system for the Z06 version. My question is does anyone have any dyno numbers to show if these changes offer any measurable performance improvement over the stock setup?

I have already changed out my airbox lid as that looked like it needed swapped. The intake opening appears to be way too small on the LS-1 lid. :eyerole However, appearance alone doesn't convince me that there is any power to be gained by going to the Z06 exhaust except some weight savings...

Any "hard" numbers out there?:confused

TIA..

I do not know about the Z06 air box, but installing a VaraRam & Corsa Exhaust System made an great difference in pickup & sound..

:)

hey there,
if they were given to you free maybe its worth it.but you should look at some aftermarket intake and exhaust systems.the borla stinger cat-back claims they are 10 pounds lighter than zo6 and they sound awesome.i will be getting mine next month.i had cut the lid of my air box so just the lip was there to hold in the k@n filter i put in.i then switched to a halltech t-1 intake,it replaces the stock air bridge also,my quarter mile times dropped and picked up 3 miles per hour trap speed.there are alot of good intakes out there,i would have got the v-ram but in hawaii you get caught in douwnpours and i cant take a chance of ingesting water.your car might sound different than az06 if you put that system on your car,the z06 uses a pretty beefy cam.thats whats great about america, your free to choose, later,Todd.
