About a month now until the unveiling of the new Z06. Will GM also be unveiling the '06 model of the C6 at this time? I had heard that the first delivery of the Z06 would not be until this fall....about time for the next model year's introduction. So....will the first delivered Z06 be an '05 model or '06?

2006

so the C6 Z06 intro is also the debut of the new model year base corvette? Interesting. I wonder what if anything will change.

Cars that first go on sale after January 1, 2005 would typically be called a 2006. The normal 2006 model year starts in fall of 2005 anyway, so if a 2006 Z06 debuted then, it would be a normal time for that model year.

No....now you're confusing me.

2005 Corvette went on sale mid-2004. The only 2005 models offered for sale in 2004 were the base coupe and convertible.

The 2006 Z06 will go on sale mid-2005 as a 2006 model.

Rob, sorry to cause confusion. This is an OLDGOAT's normal condition. Good thing I won't have to find my key to start my C6! My only intent was to point out that in addition to scoping out the new Z06 the unveiling should tell us about changes , if any, from '05 to '06. 'course I won't remember them but that's normal for me too........ah for a 396 and some 101 leaded premium......I'll just nod off now and dream about those powershifts.....

ah....don't know. We'll have to wait and see. :)
