Z06 rims on C5 question

Just inquiring on Z06 rims for my 98 C5, and going from standard size rims 17x8.5-18x9.5 to 17x9.5-18x10.5 and the 265/40/17 & 295/35/18 if they fit with the backspacing and that there is NO rubbing. I was told that a Z06 is bigger in the wheel wells? I was also told there is no difference in the bold size between the models. Any info would be appreciated. I was thinking splitting the difference on the size 255/40/17 and 285/35/18???

Edgieoiler - I'm running stock so I can't answer your question, but...

...I'm sure someone will stop by soon and answer your question.

No need to compromise, they will fit fine. Wheel wells are the same size, and the improvement in lateral grip and overall ride is great.
