Ms.Schroder............

Have you been sneaking into Grandpa's couch syrup again?
That moonshine is making you crazy! :L

Bury the hatchet! Hey, now there's an idea! :D Wait right there, I'll just go fetch it. :L
oh... wait. Oh. I get it. You mean let's be friends? But I thought we were friends! Speaking of friends, you mentioned bring as many as we want.
I thought I would bring this guy. He'll be happy to help you into the water. No, really, BV. You first. I insist. I'll even hold your parrot too. In case something happens, and, uhm, for some reason you don't make it back, what should I feed him?

Last home Susan and I rented was on 5 acres with a horseshoe lake in the back yard. One day last year while mowing, I spotted a baby gator on the near banks. After about my 2nd pass on the tractor, there were 7 adults in a semi circle (10-20 yards out) watching the baby and me.

Dang - that's not good!

I have a friend in Port St. Lucie - he lives on "gator water" - I have never seen one there though - The only place I ever saw one was on gator alley - several on the side of the road - on the other side of the fence - sitting with mouths open...

On a completely different note - I noticed this picture from the pics I took in Bloomington Illinois the week before St. Charles...Interesting reflection IMO.

Great accidental pic!

Yea, with all of the bayous and brackish water, its easy for em to grow to be monsters!
We kept the small dog up near the house and of course moved before the baby was born.
I usually only went down to the pond to fish or mow. on the other side of the land bridge was an estuary and then the Gulf of Mexico/Mississippi Sound.

Matter of fact, these pics were taken in my old backyard

That is a very cool shot. I thought at first "photoshop" but then looked again at the angle of the C5 and see how it was possible. :upthumbs

Speaking of mowing, I have often wondered about what kind of mowing machines Corvette owners use. Are we attracted to the same sort of characteristics in a mower or tractor that lead us to buy a Corvette? Performance, handling, whatever? I use a John Deere JS63 3 speed self-propelled for trim duty and the John Deere X485 tractor for the yard. I swear this is true, it has power steering and cruise control, tilt wheel and fully adjustable seat. It is liquid cooled with a radiator and has 12 inch wide rear tires. It just FEELS like a turf-type Vette. LOL! What's everyone else's choice?

Here is my wife mowing with our JD every year I have to fix something on it and keep saying I'm gonna take it back it has a POS Kawasaki engine in it.

That is so cool. My wife and I have a miniature dachshund just like that one. Her name is Scarlett because of that same coloration. Her companion is a black and brown dachsie named Trixie! Small world. Yeah my JD has the Kawasaki motor too, fuel injected! I might consider putting a small block Chevy in there one day! LOL!

The house we rented that had the 5 acre yard came with a new Kubota tractor with a finishing mower on the three point hitch. (powered off the tripple k)
Took about an hour and a half to mow it all, but it was therapy for me! haha Quiet time -

Pretty sure it was this one:

Now in the house Susan and I built, I hired a lawn boy for nearly the first year. But this spring I broke down and bought a nice self propelled Cub Cadet. Its not this model, but the one just below it.

Was a choice between this Cub and a Husqvarna.

The Cub Cadet was on closeout and had 12 months same as cash.. So went with the Yellow Canadian mower. So far so good! :)
6 forward gears, single lever adjusts the height on all 4 wheels at once, and has three cutting styles.
Tried to get Susan to go the John Deere route, but couldn't justify the $$$ for the size yard we have.

I did Soybean and Cotton research for the state of MS ( http://www.msstate.edu/dept/drec/ ) as a day gig right after college.(5 year or so) Plant Pathology and Entomology. Drove nearly every Ford, Massey, Melroe, Kubota, and International on the research station. Hitched a ride on a cotton picker but never operated it. haha

Heck, Im even PUBLISHED:

This was my main spray rig for a few years before I "retired". A melroe spray coupe.

Mine had much larger rear tires and we had modified it to hold 16 canisters of chemical on the rear. We had also built a control panel on the inside so I could control (the 16 cans) from inside the sprayer.
Loved it - was my first sprayer with Air Conditioning, a great comphy chair, and AM/FM Cassette.

Anyhow, thats enough about "Rain in the Early 90s" ;LOL

WOW! That's what a Corvette off-road machine might look like! Cool stuff.

HAHA yes, I guess so - Looked like a giant bug with the booms stretched out - pretty unique design

:D

Nothing but a bunch of farmers hanging out on the forum. :L

We played a show at Corky's BBQ on the beach last year at the 4th. IT WAS a war zone.
Fireworks going off all around us while we were trying to sing.. pretty nerve wrackin!

This year I just played Friday night and spent the rest of the weekend with Family.

Hi MsSchroder -

I cropped the image - I took the '62 and when I was reviewing, I noticed that the reflection, and how it looks like the same color etc. The reflection of a 2002 to compliment the 1962.

If you look real closely, you cna see the bumper of the 62 in the lower rirght side of the reflection...

Thanks for the compliment - glad you enjoyed it. I will get train pics posted tonight.

best regards -
