Btw, I have 300 dpi and uncropped versions of all of these if anyone wants to print larger format pictures.
be more than happy to email the original to you

Rain
Hey Rain, I've not seen any up close but a large number of the cars, seen from the rear, have the stainless steel letter inserts. If you know, do they seem to stick on pretty well and more importantly, could you tell if there are any sharp edges that stick out enough to catch on a towel or cloth? I've been hesitant to consider them due to this possible concern.

Zoh6, headed to Beauvoir now to meet the Vette group.
I'll ask!

Hi Rain -

Nice shots - too bad the blue roadster was so abused (not cleaned etc...) Makes me wanna cry.

I like to collect plate shots - here is a page I did once, but I have not updated it for a while - you will like some of the plates there - look for a euro one... ;^)

They are actually polished stainless steel. They stick out. If you make sure the surface is very clean and free of wax, they seem to stick OK. I have snagged one with a cleaning rag once, but if you're careful, you should not have a problem. I've used power buffers right over them with no problem.

(here is the reply I have from one owner/enthusiast)

Well, it was in a garage parking lot - probably being restored.

Give it some time! haha

Rain,

Thanks for the offer but all I would do is stare at it at night and never sleep another wink. Guess I'll have to settle for my plain ole 2003 ZO6. Come to think of it, life could be worse! :D

I laughed at the plate smoke u. I wouldn't get caught dead driving a car with that plate. All the guys would be waving at you asking for your phone number.

omg..............lol!!! :puke

Hi Todd -

Well, that plate is on my motorcycle. Nobody else has ever made that comment, but I appreciate the way you think....:t :L

The plate really refers to the fact that I used to build/ride the old Kawasaki three cylinder two-stroke 500/750's. They burned two stoke oil - so they smoked...get it?

Anyway, everyone else thinks it means I will race and beat them.

I thought about all that stuff I smoked in college....

As in Smoke University.

I have a shirt from a mustard outlet that says Poupon U. :D

Hi Drth -

I have seen those Poupon shirts - funny...

Here is a shot I took of my Z last weekend at a local cruise in - they closed main street in Peoria for a cops for Kids Cruise In and Car Show - I pulled in and saw that there was a prominent parking spot open in the shade - so I asked the kind officer standing there if I might be able to get some shade...

Here is proof of his answer...

Has anyone heard of Big Al's?

mqqn, I absolutely love the composition of the shot but PLEASE refrain from photographing while lying in the middle of the street. I want to continue to enjoy your shots and doubt they could be made by a mqqn pancake! ;LOL

Tonight at the Cruise-In

There was not that big a turn out. As it was quite stormy. However, I have pics of TWO very interesting cars among others. I will get those photos up soon. You will be impressed with one car I saw and will laugh your arse off with this other car I saw. This one gets the eight ball corvette award. Details later!
